Introduction

Welcome to English Engine. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your enrollment in our courses and use of our services. By enrolling in any course or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Acceptance of Terms

Please read these Terms carefully before enrolling. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not enroll in our courses or use our services.

Services Offered

English Engine provides spoken English training, interview preparation, managerial skills development, accent training, and corporate training programs at our KPHB, Hyderabad location.

Enrollment and Payments

1.1 Eligibility

To enroll in our courses, you must:

• Be at least 16 years of age
• Provide accurate and complete information during registration
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• For students under 18, have parental or guardian consent

1.2 Registration Process

Enrollment is complete only when:

• You have attended a free demo class (optional but recommended)
• You have filled out the registration form completely
• You have paid the course fees (full or installment as agreed)
• You have submitted required documents (ID proof, photographs)
• English Engine has confirmed your enrollment in writing (email or SMS)

1.3 Course Selection

English Engine will recommend the most suitable course based on your English proficiency level, goals, and availability. However, the final decision to enroll in a specific course rests with you.

2. Fees and Payment

2.1 Course Fees

Course fees vary by program and are communicated to you during the enrollment process. Fees include:

• Tuition for the course duration
• Study materials and handouts
• Course completion certificate

Fees do NOT include:

• Books or reference materials (available for purchase separately)
• Additional certifications or exams (if any)
• Personal stationery

2.2 Payment Methods

We accept payment through:

• Cash
• Bank transfer / UPI
• Credit / Debit cards
• Payment apps (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm)

2.3 Payment Schedule

• Full Payment: Due at the time of enrollment
• Installments: Available on request; terms to be agreed in writing
• First installment must be paid before course commencement
• Late payment may result in suspension of attendance until fees are cleared

2.4 Receipts

A receipt will be issued for all payments. Please retain receipts for your records.

Cancellations and Refunds

3.1 Cancellation by Student

Before Course Starts:

• Cancellation 7+ days before start date: 100% refund minus ₹500 processing fee
• Cancellation 3-6 days before start date: 75% refund
• Cancellation 1-2 days before start date: 50% refund
• Cancellation on or after start date: No refund

After Course Starts:

• Within first 7 days (attended ≤2 classes): 50% refund
• After 7 days or 2+ classes: No refund

3.2 Cancellation by English Engine

If we cancel a course due to insufficient enrollment or other reasons:

• 100% full refund within 10 business days
• OR transfer to another suitable batch at no additional cost

3.3 Refund Process

Refunds will be processed within 15 business days of cancellation request. Refunds will be made to the original payment method.

3.4 Transfer to Another Batch

You may request a one-time transfer to another batch (same course) at no additional fee if:

• Request is made at least 3 days before your current batch starts
• Space is available in the requested batch
• The transfer is for valid reasons (work schedule change, relocation, health issues)

4. Attendance and Class Schedule

4.1 Class Timings

Classes are conducted as per the schedule provided at enrollment. We reserve the right to make minor adjustments to timings with advance notice.

4.2 Attendance Requirements

• Minimum 75% attendance is required for course completion certificate
• Students must inform us in advance if unable to attend a class
• Repeated absenteeism without valid reason may result in enrollment termination without refund

4.3 Make-Up Classes

Make-up sessions for missed classes may be arranged at the trainer's discretion based on availability. No guarantee of make-up sessions for student-initiated absences.

4.4 Class Cancellations by English Engine

If we cancel a class due to trainer unavailability, holidays, or other reasons:

• We will notify you as soon as possible
• The class will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time
• OR the course duration will be extended accordingly

User Responsibilities

5.1 Code of Conduct

Students are expected to:

• Attend classes on time and be prepared
• Treat trainers and fellow students with respect
• Maintain a positive and cooperative learning environment
• Complete assignments and practice exercises
• Use mobile phones only during breaks or emergencies
• Dress appropriately for a professional learning environment

5.2 Prohibited Conduct

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

• Disruptive behavior or use of offensive language
• Harassment or discrimination of any kind
• Recording classes without prior permission
• Sharing course materials with non-enrolled individuals
• Smoking, alcohol, or drugs on premises
• Any illegal activities

5.3 Disciplinary Action

Violation of student conduct rules may result in:

• Verbal or written warning
• Temporary suspension
• Permanent expulsion without refund
• Legal action if necessary

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Course Materials

All course materials, handouts, presentations, and content provided by English Engine are our intellectual property and are provided for your personal educational use only.

6.2 Restrictions

You may NOT:

• Copy, reproduce, or distribute course materials
• Share materials with non-enrolled individuals
• Use materials for commercial purposes
• Record, photograph, or videograph classes without written permission

7. Certification

7.1 Course Completion Certificate

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate if you have:

• Maintained minimum 75% attendance
• Completed all assignments and assessments
• Cleared the final evaluation (if applicable)
• Cleared all pending fees

7.2 Certificate Validity

Certificates issued by English Engine serve as proof of course completion and skill development. They are not government-accredited certifications unless specifically stated.

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1 No Guarantee of Results

While we strive for excellence in training, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes such as:

• Job placements or interviews
• Specific score improvements in external exams
• Admission to educational institutions
• Visa approvals

8.2 Personal Belongings

English Engine is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings on our premises. Please secure your valuables.

8.3 Health and Safety

Students attend classes at their own risk. English Engine is not liable for any injuries, accidents, or health issues occurring on or off premises.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By enrolling, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Testimonials and Marketing

By enrolling, you agree that English Engine may:

• Use your testimonials, reviews, and feedback for marketing purposes
• Display your success stories (with your permission)
• Take photographs or videos during classes for promotional use

You may opt out of any marketing activities by notifying us in writing.

Changes to These Terms

English Engine reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be:

• Posted on our website with the updated date
• Communicated to enrolled students via email
• Displayed at our training center

Continued enrollment after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Governing Law

12.1 Informal Resolution

In case of any disputes, please contact us first to resolve the matter amicably.

12.2 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana.

12.3 Arbitration

If informal resolution fails, disputes will be settled through arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and any enrollment agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and English Engine regarding our services.
